Confrere /konfrea(r)/ n. a fellow member of a collaborative business or professional organization. About Confreres Confreres is informal association of business people and executives who help each other engage in commerce. We provide a networking venue for business professionals to offer help to their colleagues. How Confreres Inverts Traditional Networking Instead of making a pitch to peddle their services, angling for a job or having a social hour, Confrere participants gather to offer advice to problems and issues posed by fellow Confreres. Confreres expects that participants in this collaborative networking environment derive satisfaction from knowing that they have helped others in their business community, and that this community is there to help them. If helping others solve business problems is an activity from which you generate personal satisfaction, you'll enjoy participating... The Confreres community generates new ventures, alliances and relationships from this collaboration for the benefit of participants. Help Solve Real Business Problems A successful business enterprise requires basic elements. Among these are:
Every Confreres participant has had experience in dealing with problems and issues in these and other business areas. Each participant has current problems and issues as well. No Excluded Groups Confreres welcomes participants of all types and from all strata. From different disciplines - management, sales, marketing, HR, recruiters, software, hardware, PR, finance, legal, accounting, telecommunications and others. From different industries... Of different ages - whether young, old or in between... Whether they are CEOs of existing successful companies, entrepreneurs launching new companies, or employees of existing companies. Everyone needs help and can help others. The greater the diversity in a group the more likely will be the divergence of complementary personal and professional networks. Confreres participants simply need to have open minds, experience with solving problems and a willingness to offer and receive advice, or refer a participant to someone who can help. Help Others to Help Yourself If you enjoy finding out what others are doing and offering your expertise and knowledge to help someone else, then Confreres welcomes you. As you give to your fellow confreres, they will stand ready to help you.
